Summer at the Gardens Volunteer Event

Location: The Gardens at Lake Merritt Oakland

We partnered with The Gardens at Lake Merritt for a hands-on community volunteer day. RED Divas came ready to roll up their sleeves and make a visible difference by supporting the upkeep and beautification of one of Oakland’s treasured public garden spaces.
The Gardens at Lake Merritt is a seven-acre collection of themed gardens located in Oakland's Lakeside Park, maintained through the support of volunteers and community partnerships. Established more than half a century ago, the Gardens serve as a source of great regional pride, a cultural and educational center and a place to enjoy tranquility in the heart of the city.

Par-tee and Play: Women's Golf Short Game Clinic and Networking

Location: Pruneridge Saratoga

In this experience designed for women of all skill levels, participants rotated through small-group sessions led by golf pros, focusing on key short game techniques while taking advantage of the driving range for hands-on practice. Using intentionally small waves, participants received both personalized instruction and plenty of time to engage with coaches and attendees.

Audrey Rumsby hosted an authentic discussion around the power of vulnerability and self-worth in shaping personal brand. Attendees left with a simple three-part approach to pursuing bold goals through self-expression, plus the opportunity to bring these goals to life with on-site styling support from the EVEREVE team.

Southline Unveiled: A Workplace Design Experience
March 24, 2026
Location: Southline San Francisco

RED Divas had the opportunity to experience a guided tour of the newly built Amenities Building and Office spaces of Southline, a pinnacle of future workplace strategy, design, and activation. Following the tour was a dynamic panel discussion featuring leaders in development, design, and real estate sharing insight into how workplace environments are evolving beyond square footage into experience-driven destinations. We ended the night with a networking happy hour, experiencing the building to its fullest.

Galentine’s Charity Event

February 2026
The Philanthropy Committee hosted a special RED Charity Event with Project Open Hand, assembling meal packages for the sick and vulnerable. Every day, Project Open Hand prepares 2,500 nutritious meals and provides 200 bags of healthy groceries to help sustain their clients as they battle serious illnesses, isolation, or the health challenges of aging. They serve San Francisco and Oakland, engaging more than 125 volunteers daily to nourish our community. Afterwards, we enjoyed a happy hour networking at a local restaurant.

In an inspiring session with Alison Kermode, creator of The EVOL&ved® Training Series, we learned how energetic awareness—the ability to understand your own subtle energy and others’—can transform the way we lead and collaborate, bringing practical tools for reducing ego-driven behaviors and creating healthier, more engaged cultures.

Holiday Party - A Gilded Age Celebration

We donned Gilded Age dapper attire for an evening of sparkle, indulgence, and festive cheer as we toasted to the season in true turn-of-the-century style. Rich décor, flowing champagne, and lively company closed out the year together.

Community Service @ GLIDE San Francisco

November 2025
The Philanthropy Committee partnered with GLIDE San Francisco for their Daily Free Meal Program, where members were encouraged to offer a friendly and welcoming presence to their clients and create an atmosphere of care and connection. GLIDE is a nationally recognized nonprofit and social justice organization based in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, committed to fighting systemic injustices, creating pathways out of poverty and crisis, and transforming lives through comprehensive services, advocacy, and an inclusive community that addresses poverty, food insecurity, housing and homelessness, and racial and social inequality. Members then met at Bodega SF to unwind, share reflections, and enjoy some time together with fellow RED members.

Exploring AI: Hype Hacks & Hard Truths

October 2025
Lillian Buziak, Senior Executive at Caprus AI, held an incredible talk about the biggest topic of the Bay Area: AI. This discussion broke down how to leverage AI in both work and life– no tech background required– while exploring bigger questions such as ethics, sustainability, and responsible use. Attendees left feeling empowered and ready to experiment with AI in meaningful ways.

Community Service & Membership Drive

September 2025
Our community service event invited both new and familiar faces to help towards a local cause. We met together in Menlo Park to create “Happy Home” and “Menstrual Monday” kits for The Women’s Building, a Bay Area-based women-led community space providing a safe and welcoming place that facilitates the well-being of women, girls, and families.

We met together at Sacred Heart to aid the local San Jose community. Sacred Heart was founded by Louise Benson  in 1964 to feed hungry families in her neighborhood. Today, providing essential services to individuals and families in need remains one of Sacred Heart’s core strategies. It enables local community members to assert their basic human rights by gaining access to resources such as food, clothing, and housing assistance, while at the same time offering the tools for self-sufficiency, including employment assistance, family mentoring, and adult and youth education programs.

"Coffee & Spill the Tea" New Member Event

We welcomed in new RED members and Legacy members during this virtual "Coffee & Spill the Tea" meeting, where we got to know the current RED Board better. We went over different Committees and volunteer opportunities as well as a website navigation tour. 

Courtside Connections at Park Padel 

May 2025
We mingled with fellow RED members and guests at Park Padel in South San Francisco. We enjoyed great food, drinks, and networked in a fun and relaxed setting. There were Padel coaches on hand who taught the basics of the game to anyone who wanted to play. Those who didn't wish to play had plenty of other opportunities to rewind, relax, and spectate.

Spring Refresh: Renew your Space, Mind, and Life

During this holistic approach to getting organized, from personal and work habits to health and finances, RED's own Val Lagueux shared tools, creative solutions, and resources that help navigate milestones unique to women at any stage in life or career. We learned practical takeaways that help apply these concepts, allowing people to create and organize a future they deserve. Special thanks to One Workplace, who welcomed us into their showroom! 

RED Private Birdies Shop & Sip

We enjoyed an evening of shopping, browsing, and networking at Birdies. Birdies shoes are as chic as they are comfortable, perfect for a day full of business meetings. This locally founded and woman-owned business is on a mission to positively impact the lives of women everywhere. Just like RED, Birdies holds woman-focused philanthropy at its core. 

Leading with Connection

In this discussion with Leadership Architect Monique Lecomte, we reevaluated how we build networks and foster community in the hybrid, gig, and ever-changing world. Monique talked about how modern leadership, people skills and wellness, and AI can help bring us more ability to connect. She talked about 'The Red Thread of Fate', which examines connection and the freedom to gain from life's challenges.

We had an unforgettable time at this dazzling winter wonderland where we enjoyed a night of festive feasting, side-splitting laughter, and magical moments of companionship as we toasted to another spectacular year together.

Eco-Adventure: Game on at Intuit's Sustainable Hub

October 2024 
We toured Intuit's innovative Mountain View-22 Building (Bayshore), where sustainability meets fun! We took part in an interactive experience that explored this LEED Platinum marvel through engaging games and activities. We uncovered the building's impressive features, from its three-story atrium to its extensive terraces complete with firepit and green roofs, and participated in some engaging networking. Our tour celebrated not only environmental innovation but also Intuit's dedication to diversity and inclusion, showcased through the building's artwork and inclusive design.

 

Community Service + Membership Drive 

September 2024 
We gathered in San Carlos to assemble bags of essential items to support The Grateful Garment Project. The Grateful Garment Project ensures that every victim of a sexual crime who crosses the threshold of a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) facility or seeks medical attention and/or law enforcement involvement, is provided with whatever new clothing, toiletries, snacks, and other miscellaneous items that they may require. 

 

Leadership Circle #IAMREMARKABLE

August 2024 
#IAmRemarkable is a worldwide initiative that strives to empower everyone, particularly women and historically underrepresented groups, to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. During our 90-minute workshop, we learned the importance of self-promotion in our personal and professional life and were equipped with tools to develop this skill.

We welcomed new RED members - and legacy members. We held a virtual "Coffee & Spill the Tea" hour with RED Bay Area to meet new members, get to know the RED Board, learn about our different Committees and volunteer opportunities, and get a quick website navigation tour.

RED Tour & Panel Discussion

 We visited Wilson Sonsini in Palo Alto for the unveiling of the first phase of their renovated space which created a buzz as they embark on transitions in a number of office locations. We toured through both pre and post-renovation environments, had a panel discussion and Q & A about the project, followed by networking.

 

RED Bay Area Pickleball Classic

April 2024
April marked the inaugural Red Bay Area Pickleball Classic, a delightful event that brought together enthusiasts to celebrate the sport. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their participation. The event, held at the Bay Club, provided a platform for both skill development and camaraderie among friends and colleagues. A special acknowledgment is due to The Pickleball High Life, who generously contributed a variety of treats for our attendees.

International Women's Month Spring Social

We shared food and beverages with our RED family as we celebrated International Women's Day.
We raised awareness about discrimination, took action to drive gender parity, and shared how we will #inspireinclusion.

The Power of Plants

February 2024
Studies show that plants make workers more creative, productive, and motivated while helping them stay calm, relaxed, and focused. We created our own terrariums while letting our creativity flow with our favorite CRE friends.

For our 2nd Annual Community Service & Membership Drive we  created "helpful handbags" to benefit Raphael House, a shelter and services provider helping low-income and homeless families in the SF Bay Area while networking with fellow CRE professionals.
